Jerusalem opera with full stage scenery and costumes
The Jerusalem Theater chamber opera collective “Aeterna Opera” was founded in 2003. Its birth was marked by the staging of the opera “L’Impresario” by W.A. Mozart. The theater has immediately shown its high professionalism. Wonderful decorations, splendid costumes, amazing illumination, and, most importantly, outstanding performances – the staging had it all. The soloists of the “Aeterna Opera” are: Ekaterina Chepeleva, Shirelle Dashevsky, Julia Plakhina, Dmitri Semenov, Boris Karbet, Andrey Trifonov, Alexei Kanunikov, Julia Frenkel, Veronika Greis, and Izhak Pekar. The conductor is Ilya Plotkin. The set designer is Irina Tkachenko. The actors of the theater perform all over the country – in theaters, concert halls and various festivals. Twice a year, during the festival in Abu Gosh, the soloists of the “Aeterna Opera” perform before an audience of many thousands.

The Jerusalem chamber choir “Musica Aeterna,” founded by Ilya Plotkin in 1996, has immediately won the hearts of the music adorers of Israel. The choir represents a synthesis of wonderful voices of the singers with the highest musical erudition, culture and professionalism. Thanks to the energy, talent and brilliant technique of the choir leader Ilya Plotkin, the collective has become one of the leading choirs in Israel. Ensemble unity, virtuosity of intonations, and timbre variety are have been defining characteristics of the choir since its foundation.
During a short period the choir mastered a rich repertoire of the Russian and Western liturgical music. The concerts of the choir are always very successful. Excellent, high-class professional soloists, and the talent of Ilya Plotkin are the main reasons for the impetuous rise of the collective.
